Join us on Wednesday, December 10th, from 6–7 PM in Stuyvesant Square Park for one of our most cherished community traditions—the SPNA Annual Holiday Tree Lighting! Gather with neighbors and friends as we ring in the holiday season with lights, laughter, and music.
This year’s celebration will feature a special live performance by The Kidwell Sisters, bringing festive harmonies and vintage flair to the park. Bundle up and share in the joy of the season beneath the twinkling lights of our beautiful holiday tree.
Last Volunteer Gardening Saturday of 2035
Join the SPNA Gardening Committee on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon (weather permitting), to help keep the park's gardens beautiful and the plants happy. This is our last volunteer gardening session of the season! We would love to have a big turnout, and have lots to wrap up in the park including installing a new fence around the quads to protect them from dogs and people trampling new plantings.

“Nurturing Tree” Springs to Life with Artist Judith Modrak
Join us for a special afternoon as artist Judith Modrak discusses the inspiration for her “Nurturing Tree” sculpture which was selected as the SPNA Peace prize recipient. After a short artist talk, Modrak will engage the community in creating sculptural “trees”. This hands-on workshop blends art and botany to encourage a deeper dialogue with the natural world. All materials will be provided and all ages are welcome—let’s make some trees!

Roll up your sleeves and join your neighbors for It’s My Park Day at Stuyvesant Square Park. Organized by Partnerships for Parks, a joint program of NYC Parks and the City Parks Foundation, It’s My Park Day is a hands-on celebration where community pride meets fresh soil, blooming flowers, and real impact. Whether you’ve got a green thumb or just a big heart, come dig in, clean up, and help us keep this beloved park beautiful—no experience needed.
