Get your hands a little dirty—and help green the city in the process! As part of SPNA’s Earth Month Celebration in the Park, the passionate students of East Side Community High School’s Green Team invite you to roll up your sleeves and join their eco-friendly Seed Bomb Workshop.
Under the guidance of ESCHS teacher Asa Krieger, these student leaders will teach you how to create seed bombs—small bundles of soil, clay, and native wildflower seeds that can be tossed into tree pits, sidewalk cracks, or neglected patches of land to spark new life. These tiny ecological powerhouses support pollinator-friendly plants and contribute to the greening of urban spaces.
This youth-led workshop is more than a fun, hands-on activity—it’s a lesson in environmental activism and community care. Come be inspired by the next generation of change-makers and take home a few seed bombs of your own to spread beauty and biodiversity across the city. RSVP here.
