SPNA’s Earth Day/Earth Month Celebration in the Park
Saturday, April 26, 12:00–2:00 p.m.
In collaboration with Assembly Member Harvey Epstein
Bring your family, friends (and your leashed pups!) to this vibrant community celebration of Earth Day and Earth Month. The event kicks off with gardening and park cleanup led by SPNAvolunteers—grab a rake, plant a flower, or simply lend a hand to help keep our park green and gorgeous.
Learn how to compost from GrowNYC (they’re giving away free countertop compost bins while supplies last), craft eco-friendly seed bombs with students from East Side Community High School, and join volunteer wildlife rescuers for a fascinating pigeon rescue and de-stringing workshop. Bid for artworks made by participants of SPNA’s Pollinator Power! Arts & Crafts Workshop to support our events and community programming.
This hands-on day of learning, giving, and growing is the perfect way to celebrate the wonder of Mother Nature and do your part to help her thrive. RSVP here.
