It’s My Park Day

Council Member for our District 2 came to visit volunteers. Working with Parks 15 volunteers planted more than 80 plants and worked 400lbs of compost into the soil. It was a good turn out and great results.

Helping Our Neighbors To Keep It Clean

SPNA purchased dog waste bag holders, and SPNA has been paying to keep them refilled. Since November, SPNA has purchased 1600 bags! Josie, Stuyvesant Park sanitation supervisor, refills the holders and says that the bags are helping the sidewalks around the park stay cleaner. SPNA purchased 24 new garbage receptacles for a total cost of $21,000. This type of investment makes the park look better. Don’t you agree? If you like this new program, please support SPNA at membership@spnanyc.org.
